FAQs | You have Questions, I have answers

  • While there is always a risk with film photography - I have a rigorous backup system in place to make sure your most precious memories are safe.

    1. I use the highest quality memory cards and switch them out frequently to reduce the chance of a memory card corrupting.

    2. My cameras have dual memory card slots, this means your photos are being recorded on two memory cards rather than one in case something were to happen to one of the cards. This is also why I blend both digital and film

    3. Immediately after your wedding, I backup your photos to two external hard drives.

    4. After your images are backed up, I file all memory cards away and keep them in a fireproof lockbox till your gallery is delivered to you.

I know this may sound a bit extreme but I have a responsibility to you to preserve your most cherished memories. This is a day you can’t get back so I’d rather take the extra precautions than lose your wedding photos.

  • YES! If you’re hosting a welcome or rehearsal dinner for friends and family visiting from out of town, I’d love to photograph it for you!

  • You’re able to order prints, save the dates and a variety of other products directly from your digital gallery! Turn around time is 3-7 business days!

My photography agreement has a clause that specifies where you can order prints from other than your gallery. This includes Nations Photo Lab, WHCC, Bay Photo Lab and pic-time.com.

Clients may not print at stores such as Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Target, SAMS, etc. Chain stores such as these do not calibrate their printers or use professional grade printers resulting in poor quality images.

  • Editing is a huge part of the creative process and I want to make sure your photos are perfect before sending them to you!

Turn around timeframe for weddings are 6-10 weeks and couples session is 2-4 weeks.

  • When it comes to editing I try to keep everything as close to how it was in the moment as possible.

That being said, I definitely edit out anything that is temporary such as blemishes, bruises, etc. If you want extensive retouching, I may not be the best photographer for you!

If you have a particular insecurity then let me know before our time together and I will keep that in mind, I want you to feel your very best!

  • Yes, I love to travel! Additional costs vary based on wedding location. Make sure to include as much information as possible about wedding locations outside of Oregon and Arizona when filling out the contact form.

  • I don't have a set number of images that I do each time, every wedding day is unique.

I promise you that I don't leave anything out, and there is no cap on images. The more time in your day that is set aside for photos, such as setting aside a half hour at sunset, or adding on a day after session, or special event times during the day like choreographed dances or anything of the sort, will result in more photos.

At a minimum, I deliver 500 images on full wedding days, and 80 for couples sessions!

  • Your deposit is non-refundable, so in the case of cancelling a wedding, a refund will not be available.

If you need to reschedule, it will be dependent on if the new date is available to me. If not, I’ll see if my assistant is available to shoot your wedding on the new date and I’ll edit the photos and deliver your gallery to you!

Keep in mind there is a $600 rescheduling fee.

  • In case you don't know, RAWs are unedited images. I do NOT give out RAW image files.

The reason is that editing is a HUGE part of the creative process, and my job isn't just to take the photos, it is to make them into art for you.
